Everything you didn't know about CPAs
Cordasco & Company, P.C.
Rob Cordasco, Certified Public Accountant, is more than meets the eye. His Savannah-based accounting firm, Cordasco & Company, P.C., is a start-up in existence just under three years. But don’t take it at face value. It is high wage, knowledge-based and very high tech. Truth be known, Cordasco & Company offers a second look at the boring world of bean counters. You thought it was for pencil pushers and numbers geeks, and you were right. But what you don’t know is that there is some way cool technology powering today’s spreadsheet cowboys, and get this: They’re hiring.
The firm was founded by Rob Cordasco, a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Information Technology Professional. With over 20 years experience in the biz, Rob’s practice focuses on tax, accounting and management advisory services for small to mid-size businesses and their owners. In February 2007, Rob acquired the practice of a long-standing Savannah CPA and formed Cordasco & Company.
Since 2007 they’ve almost tripled their staff, now operating with five CPA-level professional staff and three paraprofessional and administrative staff. And they’ve invested significantly in the hippest, most cutting edge technology and infrastructure available in the world of accounting.
“We are not the stereotypical CPA firm,” says Cordasco. “We currently maintain one of the most automated firms in our profession. We have implemented extremely sophisticated and integrated systems to insure that we remain focused on our clients.”
That close attention to clientele is a keystone principle of the firm, and one that has helped them to lead the way in progressive accounting services. Cordasco & Company prides itself on understanding clients’ preferences and how best to communicate with them. It is through this understanding that they’ve develop custom tax and accounting solutions for each client.
A familiar face at cSpot, the TCCa social networking group for creative professionals, Cordasco recognizes the important role creative business has played in his company’s early success.
“We have been very fortunate to work with many TCCa companies and individuals,” he explains.
“The Creative Coast provides a great environment for heavily creative or technology based business to operate and our unique firm is a great complement to the businesses that are generally attracted to TCCa.”
Going forward, Cordasco pledges to continue to develop advanced strategies for his firm’s clients and continue to expand service offerings. As business booms, they will likewise invest substantially in their quality control system, staff and technology base to insure their place at the fore front of their profession.
