Savannah Economic Development Authority (SEDA)
That’s right, good ole’ Uncle SEDA is one of the best resources in town for site selection. SEDA aims to improve the standard of living for all persons living in Chatham County by stimulating economic growth through the attraction of new investment, the creation of new jobs, and the support of established businesses already in the area. It serves as the business solicitation and facility location organization in Savannah/Chatham County.

Savannah Development and Renewal Authority (SDRA)
Savannah Development and Renewal Authority (SDRA) is a public authority
established to enhance revitalization and redevelopment of Greater
Downtown Savannah.
The mission of the SDRA is to lead a coordinated strategy of economic
development and civic design strengthening Greater Downtown Savannah
as the heart of Savannah for all Savannahians, the economic hub of the
region, a prosperous place for business and institutions, and an attractive
urban environment for residents and visitors.
SDRA has a Business Resource Center, a one-stop shop which houses
information to assist existing and prospective business owners with
business start-up, expansion and relocation. The Resource Center houses
lists of available properties, information on property improvement programs,
information on business counseling services, and material on local, state,
and regional development and property rehabilitation tools.
Savannah Board of Realtors (SABOR)
The Savannah Board of Realtors (SABOR), a trade and professional
association, serves over 1,500 members in Chatham, Bryan and Effingham
counties. Membership is composed of Realtors who are licensed brokers,
salespersons and certified appraisers, as well as Affiliate members who are
individuals or firms not engaged in the real estate profession, however, have
interest requiring information concerning real estate, and sympathetic to
the objectives of the Board.
The objective of SABOR is to unite those engaged in the recognized branches
of the real estate profession for the purpose of exerting a beneficial influence
upon the profession and related interests promoting home ownership.

When determining the appropriate location for a business, it is important
to contact the Development Services/Inspections Department to ensure
that the business use is compatible with zoning regulations. The Zoning
Services Coordinator enforces zoning ordinances and regulations and will
verify if the intended use is permitted at the proposed location and answer
any questions regarding the business use and location.
